SUMMARY:Emerald Ash Borer Site Walk
DESCRIPTION:Alexis\, our site manager\, is inviting all Fair Family to join him on a walk around site to learn more about the Ash trees and the threat of the Emerald Ash Borer to our canopy. \n\n\n\nWe will meet in Tower Lot for this site walk. Register by October 22nd\, 2025 to attend using this link: \n\n\n\nClick Here to let us know you plan on Attending \n\n\n\nJoin the Oregon Country Fair\, Oregon Department of Forestry’s Urban and Community Forestry Program\, and Valley Environmental for a live air curtain incinerator (ACI) demonstration and discussion on Friday\, October 24th.  We will be demonstrating the ACI’s role in fuels reduction\, wood waste management\, the control of pests and pathogens like emerald ash borer\, biochar creation\, as well as the benefits of ACI’s as a lower-pollution alternative to open burning. Experts will be available to answer your questions on these topics.  \n\n\n\nNot sure what an ACI is? Check out ODFs ACI playlist on YouTube \n\n\n\nInterested but not able to attend this event? Consider the Salem ACI demo on Weds\, Oct 15th. Information about November demonstrations near LaPine and Chiloquin will be available soon. \n\n\n\nPlease wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes.
