What is FairTV?

Imagine if the history of television was rewritten. What if there was a timeline where television was only used to broadcast beauty, art, music and transcendent, unifying experiences?

This is the story FairTV exists in. And on a practical level, it connects you back to memories of being at OCF, and attempts to show a sliver of what Fair is about to folks who haven’t been yet.

These days, we’re just getting up and running with FairTV. It’s a small group of volunteers who make up OCF Video Crew that run it. And we’re looking for new material to air all of the time. We can’t play everything that’s submitted, but always feel free to submit content to us at [email protected] and a crew member will let you know if we have any questions.

Some of the things FairTV features year-round:

Music Performances

Interviews and Documentaries

OCF ambience walking the paths

Music jams

Art presentations

Livestreaming of stages during Fair weekend* *Dependent on accessibility to wired internet connections throughout the fair.

What’s on it when?

Year round, FairTV plays videos from the archives on random shuffle

During Fair it switches over to livestreams from different stages during OCF, starting with Main Stage and others to be added soon (once the OCF’s internet speeds can be upgraded)

Stage performances during Fair can be re-broadcast later in the evening or the next day so folks who heard about an amazing show can check out a high quality multi-camera recording of the livestream (with artist permission). This also allows people to enjoy the Fair from a distance and feel part of the collective vibe if they have to stay home that year.
