The Long Tom is elbowing our beloved paths causing significant undercutting along the river banks. Thus, as is the case of the river, our Fair Family must also shift our historical ways. Although the path may appear wide enough from above when you look at it, what you can’t see is how far the banks have eroded underneath where it’s undercutting as much as four feet in some places so it’s not safe to drive regular vehicles on most of Strawberry Lane, Shady Lane and on up to Arc Park. Pre Post Security is working with Cart Central to have 4-5 Peach Carts parked at W.C. Fields and at Pooh Corner for check out and in with Pre Post. And the Gator Train will be offered with the sign up at the Junkyard Dogs out by the Registration Booth pre fair and Quarter Master post fair
Strawberry Lane is closed to vehicles between People’s Park and the Junction. Booths 850, 844, 832, 824, 818 and 814 on Strawberry Lane will not be able to pull their vehicles up all the way to their booths to unload and load, but rather will need to either use a Peach Cart or sign up for a Gator Train at Quarter Master to help bring things in prior to Fair. For those who wish to do so, you may either park around W.C. Fields to cart in from there or at the top of Strawberry Lane by the Junction to upload and cart in and out.
Shady Lane is closed to vehicles between the Junction up to Arc Park. Booths along the Long Tom starting at booth 706 up the river to booth 535 will need to either use a Peach Cart or a Gator Train to move their stuff in and out of their booths.
We are so sorry for the inconvenience but wanted to let you know before you pack for Fair so that you can pack with carts and/or gator trains in mind for that last stretch in and out of your booth.
