We are excited to share with you news about the Water Project that was approved by the Board of Directors at the March Board meeting. Here are the design maps for rebuilding the water system. We anticipate construction to start in August and will be done in quadrants over the next five years.
There will be some tree removal along Aero Road for the new inlet/head end. We will begin planting trees this summer, spring and fall to mitigate the loss of these trees. Additionally, we will mill the trees that we remove and use the wood in the venue which will benefit the Fair for years to come. The new system will also provide water reserves for fire suppression year round.
The project also includes the installation of fiber optic cable along the routes to improve our internet connectivity throughout the Fair.
It is our goal with this project to become water independent, so we will no longer need to rely on the generosity of our neighbors for water delivery.
